Taking Aven to Boise State

On August 19th, we packed up our car and Aven’s car with all of her belongings (well, all except for winter clothing/items - those will go later). We left in the morning on August 20th for the 9 1/2 hour drive to Boise.

Here are some pictures of the packing process:

Aven checking in for her Adventure Idaho Living Learning Community. From their website: “The Adventure Idaho Living Learning Community (AIC) combines outdoor activities – hiking, biking, camping, etc., and academic skills to help first-year students transition into college life.  The AIC will use the natural world as their classroom, a place in which students can learn to enjoy richer, more fulfilling lives.”

Aven was busy at times with new student things, so we had some free time to hit a brewery or two.

Every year I made a first day of school sign for Aven and took pictures in the morning. For this year, I snuck a sign in her things & she continued on with the tradition of first day of school pictures. :-)
