The First Couple Days Out & About
On August 26 we left Similk Bay and traveled through Deception Pass. This is an area where the water can get ripping through and being in a slow boat (we generally travel around 6 knots, almost 7 mph), we need to choose our timing carefully. Here is a video showing a strong current. And, as a contrast, here is what it was like for us going through (at a much slower current):
