Family Weekend at Boise State
We got to see Aven again!! Woohoo!
We decided to leave Aurelia at Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes while we were gone. It was a very nice morning on October 7th when we crossed Rosario Strait to get there. It got a little busy once we reached land on the other side, but all was good. :-)
We took the opportunity of driving south to visit with Greg’s parents and Cashew (our cat that now lives with them) as well as most of Cindie’s side of the family. It was great to be able to see everyone again.
We also stopped in Gig Harbor to pick up mail and packages at the UPS store (that’s where we’ve had our mail delivered since we sold the house). There were a LOT of packages! (each of those slips with the number is a separate package)
We picked up some more goodies to bring to Aven!
We had a great time in Boise visiting Aven. We got to shop for steel toed boots (she’s majoring in construction management and knows she will need them), play beach volleyball, attend a yoga class, go to the Boise State football game, and go on multiple walks. It did our hearts good to spend some quality time with Aven.
On the way back, we found some fresh snow at Snoqualmie Pass.
Once we were back on Aurelia we spent time unpacking and reorganizing a few things.
We decided to stay an extra day at the marina since there were some winds in the area. On October 13 we took our bikes out for a ride around Anacortes. We found a great spot to look down on the marina.
