Hunter Bay on Lopez Island
We made our way back to Hunter Bay for 3 primary reasons:
To sell our Aventon Level 2 electric bikes
To get our new mailing service set up in Anacortes
To attend a gathering for a YouTube channel that we have watched for 10+ years
The first day was spent doing a 35 mile bike ride around the south end of Lopez Island. We used up just about all of the battery life on our bikes and were doing quite a bit of peddling only (no assist) on our way back.
On September 19th, we took Lia over to Anacortes. It was nice & calm crossing Rosario Strait.
We sold our Aventon Level 2 electric bikes to a very nice man from Anacortes. He and his wife will enjoy these. And we will miss them for sure - they are better bikes than our new ones, but they just didn’t fit well on the boat.
And, we ran a bunch of errands (all via bike/walking): UPS store to open a mailbox, hardware store, lunch and grocery shopping.
The next day we did some crabbing and got a bunch! 5 keepers of Dungeness.
On September 21, we took Lia to La Conner. It is a nice town right on the Swinomish Channel.
And a highlight of the weekend, meeting these two - Nikki & Jason Wynn of Gone With The Wynns on YouTube. We have been watching their videos every week for over 10 years. It’s odd to meet someone who you feel like you already know, but they don’t know you. Haha! They are amazing, friendly, interesting people and I loved meeting them and am happy to continue to support their work.
