Nice to Be Back in Our Old Stomping Grounds

On Halloween we made our way back into Gig Harbor. It felt nice to be coming back to our old home. We saw this view many times over the years (coming in to Gig Harbor).

We just HAD to go to The Tides for dinner. Since it was Halloween, all employees and a few patrons were in costume. Check out the guy watching over everyone from above!

For those of you that are interested, this is what light wind sounds like when trying to sleep in the front berth of a boat. Sometimes it’s quite noisy & hard to sleep! (there is no visual for this video, only audio)

Here are some of the nice sights while walking in Gig Harbor.

The winds will be calmer for a couple of days so we decided to head out to other anchorages. Here we are coming up to and going under the Narrows Bridge. We were flying through at 9 knots with a good current! (only at 1200 RPM)

While underway we saw some other cool sights. (click on each one, then hover over the picture to see a comment)

Here we are going under and passing the Fox Island Bridge.

We motored up into Henderson Bay in Carr Inlet, where we used to live. Here’s a picture of both our old home and our current home. And a picture of Aurelia with the Purdy Spit and Bridge behind.

Sometimes the sun is beating down on you & you need some shade!

We ended up anchoring in Filucy Bay on the Key Peninsula.

Here’s a little clip showing how good of a job Greg does when flying the drone.
